Yes, that is an actual mushroom growing out of a doorframe.
While it's certainly an unusual sight, it's also a pretty clear indication that something isn't right.
When we see signs of significant moisture, mould or fungal growth, it's important to investigate what's actually causing it rather than simply treating what's visible.
That's part of good property management — identifying issues early, understanding the risk and making sure the right steps are taken to protect the property and prevent a potentially much bigger problem down the track.
